Pricing models supported by CPAbuild
CPS (Cost Per Sale)
CPAbuild supports CPS presentations. Cost Per Sale (CPS) is the amount an advertiser pays to convert a sale. The cost of selling is calculated as follows: Cost of Advertising / Number of Sales = Cost of Selling (CPS). As an affiliate, it represents the amount you will pay to transfer a sale to an advertiser in an affiliate program or network. Affiliates CPS is also sometimes referred to as PPS (Pay Per Sale).
CPA (Cost Per Acquisition)
CPAbuild supports CPA presentations. Cost per acquisition (CPA) is a marketing metric to measure the cost of getting a customer to pay, or for a user to take an action. CPA is sometimes referred to as Action Cost. As an affiliate, the CPA model will simply be a fixed price that you will receive when performing the required task. This can be anything from a user filling out a form or making a purchase or downloading a free game. If you are on the flip side, as an advertiser, the CPA model can determine the actual cost per customer obtained along with other pricing models like CPC (cost-per-click). To derive CPA for a CPC campaign, it should be calculated as follows: Campaign Cost / Conversions = Cost per acquisition.
CPL (cost per lead)
CPAbuild supports CPL views. Cost per lead (CPL) is the amount an advertiser pays to convert a lead. The cost per lead is calculated as follows: Advertising Cost / Number of Leads = Cost Per Lead (CPL) As an affiliate, it represents the amount you would pay to convert a lead to an advertiser in an affiliate program or network. CPS of affiliates is sometimes mentioned as PPL (Pay Per Customer). The CPL Offers most used will be email signups, but the pricing model is also used for free for playing games, freemium software, and potential customer customers in general.
CPI (Cost Per Install)
CPAbuild supports CPI presentations. CPI campaigns are specifically for programs only. The cost per installation is highly preferred in the mobile app space since the only entry into the product will be through installation. Tracking also becomes very accurate as app owners can simply follow along with the user who performed the install. As an advertiser, the CPI formula is simply calculated like this: CPI = Total Ad Spend / Total Installments. Whereas, for an affiliate, this would be a flat fee, similar to a CPA offer but specifically to install software
